Additional Learning Support helps you take a full part in your programme and reach your goals. It's there to remove or reduce anything that gets in the way of your learning.

Who it can help

Support is available to apprentices, adult learners and anyone on a BPIF Training course. You might benefit if you have, for example:

  • A learning difficulty, disability or neurodivergence
  • A mental health need or medical condition
  • A sensory or physical impairment, including a temporary injury
  • Literacy, numeracy or English language needs
  • Personal or welfare circumstances affecting your learning

You don't need a formal diagnosis

Tell your tutor or assessor whenever you feel comfortable. Together you'll agree a support plan, which is reviewed regularly. Needs can also come up at enrolment, during assessments or at progress reviews.

Your information

We keep details of your support needs confidential and share them only with people who need them to support you, or where the law or safeguarding requires it. We will only contact your employer or outside agencies with your consent.

For support with assessments, see the Reasonable Adjustments Policy.
