Introduction to Team Leading
Stepping up to lead a team, or new to the role? This online course gives new and aspiring team leaders, supervisors and shift leaders the practical tools to lead with confidence on the shop floor.
Learn at your own pace, on any device, in about 4 hours. You'll apply everything to your own team as you go, and finish with your own 12-month development plan.
You will learn to:
- make the move from colleague to team leader, and understand your responsibilities, including health and safety
- choose the right leadership style for the person and the situation
- communicate clearly, listen well and run a five-minute shift brief
- give feedback that helps, and handle difficult conversations
- understand what motivates people and get the best from your team
- delegate effectively and manage your time
- lead your team through change
Who it's for
New and aspiring team leaders, supervisors and shift leaders in print and packaging, and anyone who has recently been promoted to lead people. No previous management training is needed.
